Kalautsav 2023: Kala Utsav 2024 will be inaugurated by Union Education and Skill Development Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. Its inauguration program has been kept on 9 January 2024. Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will be present as the chief guest and among other members Annapurna Devi will also be present as a special guest. This inaugural ceremony is being held at National Bal Bhawan and Gandhi Smriti, New Delhi. Other dignitaries are also going to be present on this occasion
Kala Utsav 2023-2024
NCERT has released the date of art festival program for the year 2023-24. The art festival will be organized from 9 to 12 January. A new initiative called Kala Utsav has been taken by NCERT under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat scheme with the aim of enhancing the skills of the students by involving the students of class 9 and 12. Many categories will be covered during this program like Vocal Music – Classical; 2. Vocal Music – Traditional Folk; 3. Instrumental Music – Percussive; 4. Instrumental Music – Melodic; 5. Dance – Classical; 6. Dance – Folk; 7. Visual Arts (2-dimensional); 8. Visual Arts (3-dimensional); 9. Indigenous Toys and Games; and 10. Drama

Arts Festival Levels
An excellent team will be selected to participate in this program. Its first level will be the district level.
District Level
- All schools at the district level will send their entries. If necessary, this program can be organized at the block and tehsil level also.
State/Union Territory
- Entries selected at the district level will have to be exhibited at the state level.
National Level
- This will be the final level of the art festival. This program will be concluded here. Where selected entries from districts and union territories will get a chance to showcase their talent.
